There is nothing better on a cold day than a bowl of homemade chili.

 1-lg can of Kidney Beans

1- lg can of Stewed Tomatoes

1-tsp of Chili Powder

1-tsp of Oregano Leaves

1- tsp of Basil

1- tbsp of Minced Garlic

1/4 cup of a White Onion

1- bunch of Green Onions

1 1/2 lb –  of Ground Chuck

2 – cubes of Beef Bouillon Cubes  OR 1/3 – cup of Beef Broth

1 1/2 – tsp of non-salt butter

Cook meat in a non-stick pot until done.

Drain grease and set to the side.

Saute the green onions with 1 1/2 tsp of butter and add to meat.

Season meat with chili powder and stir. (You want the powder to mix evenly)

Then add your beans, stewed tomatoes and at this time, decide if you are going to use cubes or liquid broth.

If you’re using cubes, turn up your burner to med-high, bring to a rapid boil, add cubes with 1/3 cup of water and boil for 2 minutes. Otherwise just pour in broth.

Once that’s done, put burner on simmer and cover.

Dice up your onions.

After about six minutes add onion, minced garlic, basil and oregano to chili and cover.

Cook on simmer for about an hour, stirring every 15-20 minutes.
